Come join the walk

The Campaspe River Walk in Kyneton will be taken over for a good cause this coming Sunday as local Joshua Tyler takes part in Walk4BrainCancer.
Earlier this year, Joshua lost a dear friend to the disease only to find out that another friend’s five-year-old son had been diagnosed too.
“Unfortunately, I know this experience isn’t unique. So many people have lost loved ones to cancer, with brain cancer killing more children than any other disease in Australia,” Joshua told the Express.
“It also kills more people under 40 in Australia than any other cancer. That’s why I wanted to do something locally.”
Joshua is hosting a Kyneton Walk4BrainCancer event along the beautiful Campaspe River on Sunday September 16.
“It’s going to be a really fun day, we’re organising some surprises for walkers along the way, as well as refreshments and kids entertainment at the children’s park.”
People can make a donation to walk on the day ($10 per adult or $20 for a family), or you can register to be a fundraiser at www.walk4braincancer.com.au
The walk will begin at 11am at the Kyneton Park Racecourse and end at the playground in the Kyneton Botanic Gardens for a barbecue.
Walk4BrianCancer Kyneton will be a celebration of those we have lost and a way to give hope, courage and support to those currently struggling. The path caters for walkers of all levels and is suitable for families with strollers.
