Kyneton collaboration – Songwriter brings in artist on new single

Home-grown singer/songwriter Taylor Sheridan has his first chance to chart in Australia with the release of his new single Nothing wrong.
Opening with lyrical honesty and building throughout to a tribal heartbeat, the song explores relationships and was inspired by the bitter-sweetness of saying goodbye to someone you love.
“The music I have written and released in the past has always been pretty positive and light-hearted, but this track is really a different direction for me; more open and exposed,” Sheridan said.
Sheridan’s early influences include the music of Stevie Wonder, James Taylor and Michael Jackson; Nothing wrong draws on elements from these artists while delivering a modern vibe and currency in today’s musical climate.
“I haven’t released a single for a while and I knew I wanted to release something different that would not only be different for people hearing it, but to also challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone,” Sheridan said.
The Kyneton-raised musician has teamed up with local artist Daniel Butterworth to create the EP artwork. Butterworth also features in the EP’s music video alongside his son, to tell the story of a father and son relationship.
Having released two independent EPs and a string of singles, Sheridan has over the last couple of years toured all over country with Australia’s finest acts including Thirsty Merc, Daryl Braithwaite and John Farnham and most recently supported the highly successful 2019 Pete Murray Summer Sessions and is gearing up for the opening slot with Regional Tourings Red Hot Summer shows during March.
Nothing wrong became available for pre-order on March 1. It is scheduled for release on March 15.
